Class Starts Monday, July 6, 2026!   This introductory course is designed for those new to technology, providing a deep dive into the foundational concepts behind the Internet of Things (IoT) and the digital systems that power our world.

Prerequisites: We recommend that students complete Algebra 2 at Brightspire or in Time4Learning prior to taking this course.

How Dual Enrollment Works

Getting started is a simple three-step process:

  1. Reserve Your Spot Pay the deposit today to secure your seat. Your card will be automatically charged the remaining balance on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. 
  2. Complete Enrollment Paperwork First-time DeVry students will receive enrollment documents and a scheduling link for the mandatory placement test immediately after purchase.
  3. Take the Placement Test Your student has one week to complete the test.

Note: If your student does not pass the placement test, your deposit will be fully refunded within 10 business days.

Counts Towards a Certificate in Information Technology

When you take 8 classes in our Information Technology collection, you can earn a Certificate in Information Technology from DeVry University as a high school level student.

Students gain a solid foundation in IT, which not only allows them to jumpstart their career but also lays the groundwork for continued growth. 

This certificate is approximately 36% of the credits required for an Associate Degree and 18% of the required for a Bachelors Degree at DeVry. The credits are also sometimes transferable to other universities, which can mean significant savings.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the enrollment requirements?

Students must be enrolled and starting 11th or 12th grade at Time4Learning or Brightspire Virtual School in the fall, and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5. Students must fill out an Enrollment Form from DeVry, and pass a required entrance test to join the cohort. We recommend students be prepared for the rigor of an 8-week accelerated university schedule.

What credential does my student earn?

Upon successful acceptance and completion of the two-year program, students earn a Certificate in Information Technology (CIT) from DeVry University. These credits represent approximately 18% of the requirements for a bachelor’s degree.
